Surgery: common questions
At what age can I spay or neuter my cat or dog?
It depends on the species, breed and size of your pet. We'll recommend the best timing at a check-up.
How long is recovery after spay or neuter?
Most pets are back to normal within about 10 to 14 days. Keep them calm, stop them licking the wound, and check it daily. Call us if you see swelling, bleeding or discharge.
Is anaesthesia safe for my pet?
No anaesthetic is completely risk-free, but we keep it as safe as possible: a health check beforehand, careful fasting, close monitoring during surgery and pain relief afterwards.
Will I be updated while my pet is in surgery?
Yes. We let you know how it went as soon as your pet is out of surgery and when they're ready to go home.
